Billy, hey, Billy. You got a bit of time? You can sort of make metal get cut, right?

[Random ask! Very random ask, but that's okay.]

Yeah, of course! What's up?

A new arrival needs help. Though I'm... I might have scared him on the magic stuff.

[ Uncertain frown. ]

No help from us, then? [He frowns back.] I guess magic is really weird for some people? I don't really understand that, since they're now living on the back of a giant turtle, and I'd think that would be... not better, but more open to it?

[He shrugs.] I don't know.

I don't know. He - he wasn't scared when I mentioned magic. But did say 'no' when I mentioned the thunder. So it might not be the same as most people. Also, I think he's just arrived, so it might get easier for him, once he gets used to it.

You okay?

I'm glad that he, you know. He's okay now. I'd love to talk sometime, he seems... I dunno, kind of cool. ]He shrugs.]

Yeah! Yeah, I'm fine. How about you?

Yeah. Well, I think we can manage that. You know. If we're at a stage where we're introducing friends or anything.

[ Small shrug. ]

Getting used to the place, to being here. It's weird, I don't think I've been in one place so long, other than in New York and down in California. Funny, huh?

Eventually. [He shrugs as well.]

Longest place I've ever stayed in is New York, so this was a huge jump for me. Not the turtle thing! I mean just, being somewhere else and living there. [Just to make that clear.] It's not too bad of a place. I mean, it's not home, right, but it's not bad.

[ It's not that Billy says something wrong, or anything like that. But Cassie bites her lip, a little. ]

Want me to stop by your suite later? Just... hang out. Or something.

[He's always stepping into something these days, he knows it. But he doesn't always know it when it happens.]
